FRP lining or GRE lining?

Fiber reinforcement plastic (FRP) is a resin lining used to raise the durability and safety by introducing a lining inside of concrete tanks, walls, ceilings, wood, concrete block, and many other solid surfaces. FRP prevents them from structural cracks which generally occurs due to the chemical attacks. FRP system includes plastic trim molding to create continuous durability, the scratch-resistance surface that is easy to clean, mold, and stain-resistant. The FRP products are lighter in weight, slip-resistance, etc. Its fiberglass is mix with plastic to produce panels that are tough, durable, and water-resistant. FRP considered the most popular raw material used these days in almost all industrial sectors. The material used in FRP has successfully spread its applications in the domestic, commercial sectors, and industrial fields. Its properties make it easy for a person to maintain it without any hassle.

All these qualities make FRP excellent material for covering walls and ceilings in kitchens, public bathrooms, medical facilities, food-processing areas, and many other environmental requirements. It ensures that the walls will remain easy to maintain and clean when installed in any bathroom. However, it is not necessary to paint FRP because of the finish designed to be a non-adhere surface but if needed it is suggested to use acrylic-based paint or Epoxy paint.

Glass-reinforced Epoxy (GRE) lining, is a fiberglass lining, is installed to provide a corrosion barrier to protect the steel tubing from internal corrosion. Internal line pipe, Casing, and tabular coating are widely used in varieties of environments.

GRE improves pipe integrity management by providing maximum corrosion protection, increase flow assurance, and improve hydraulic efficiency. GRE lining system specifically developed for the tabular, which was in a most extremely corrosive environment, tabular provide the axial tensile strength. This GRE lining can replace the traditional single steel tabular and expensive alloyed steel tabular. The protective lining in tanks would consist of a membrane followed by acid proof tile lining. The function of the membrane is to prevent the parent surface from being attacked by a corrosive substance that can accidentally pass through the tile joints. The true chemical resistant lining is the impervious membrane and is selected for its resistance to chemicals present in the equipment at the maximum strength and temperature. By combining the reaction resins with fiber materials, the mechanical properties of resin systems are vastly improved.
